Expected Result advancement needs you to be killed. So this advancement is impossible for players in hardcore mode because they can not respawn.
Removing this advancement can resolve this problem, but there may be a better way.

This will possibly change if we ever do a pass on advancements, but it isn't a priority at the current date.
