So there seems to be a weird bug with the autosmelt enchant not always dropping the items from broken blocks and instead just disappear when mined with a high level efficiency tool.

Both glass boxes were stone, left one was mined with Efficiency 100 and Auto smelt and I got 24 blocks of stone despite the box being made of 75 total blocks.

Box on the right was mined with just efficiency level 100 and I got the correct amount of items the box was made of 75 total.

This bug is especially annoying when used in conjunction with mods that allow enchantments to go past their vanilla limit as I'm basically not getting the right amount of item drops like I'm supposed to when using this enchantment with a high efficiency level on any tool.
