Same problem here, with the newest a5.0 version. Game crashes after using any scroll after having unlocked a bending technique.
Tried adding more ram, playing with and without other mods, creative and survival, reinstalling newest versions of java & forge, to no avail.

Edit: Just adding that i have a 100% legitimate account, and I tried with clean installs of Forge versions 14.23.1.2583, 14.23.1.2582 & 14.23.1.2566 (not working)
