Making an item frame invisible has no effect.

Steps for reproduction:

  1. Place down item frame
  2. Place an item in the item frame
  3. Look at item frame
  4. Run /data modify entity <TAB> Invisible set value 1b (press the Tab key where it says <TAB> to autofill the entity UUID for the item frame)
  5. Repeat 1-4 in vanilla v. with BadOptimizations

When using vanilla, the item frame vanishes and only the item is visible, but with BadOptimizations there is no change when running the command.
