1.6.3 works so it must've been something in 2.0.0 or 2.0.1 (im guessing the entity rendering changes are probably the cause)

ASM makes my head spin

2.1.0 has a config file to disable optimizations.
Update your version, and disable the optimization enable_entity_renderer_caching.
