Balm unable to work with Forge 1.21.5

Describe the Issue
Getting a "Connection Closed - mismatched mod channel list" error and am kicked to server list when loading single player world in all 1.21.5 releases, even when Balm and Forge are the only things installed. Generating a new world stops at 0% and client must be force closed with task manager. Interestingly, when I created a fresh forge install with nothing but Balm at all, world gen made it to 2% before getting stuck. Fabric and Neoforge both work fine, so not sure if this is an issue on Forge's end, but non-Balm mods work fine.

Can confirm 1.21.5 Balm crash. Attached log with only Balm and Waystones mods (tested it to see if it was conflict-based)
