Option to add copper nuggets and modded metals to Mineral Chance

Information

Minecraft version: 1.20.1 / 1.21.1
Modloader: Forge

Mod name: Mineral Chance

Feature description

Specific Request

Presumably copper nuggets have been left out because there's so much copper in regular world generation. Have you considered adding an option to add it to the list as it is a vanilla nugget where appropriate (skyblock and other exotic world generation forms)?

Generalization

More broadly, other mods add important metals, in my case I'm specifically thinking of Zinc for the Create mod, which is non-renewable. There is no mob that drops zinc, unlike copper and iron. Would you consider adding a configuration (or tag) where we could add more nuggets to the Overworld table, and another where we could add more nuggets to the nether table?

This ties back to #2982 - that request is about nerfing the table, this is about expanding it.

Exposing the tables in the config file instead of tags gives the secondary option of, eg, putting duplicate entries in the table to skew results.

As a random example

  • 10 for copper,
  • 50 for iron nuggets,
  • 5 for zinc nuggets,
  • 3 for gold nuggets,
  • 5 for lapis,
  • 5 for redstone,
  • 1 for emerald
  • 1 for diamond

Advanced generalization

Make it a properly weighted table in the config file, so instead of copying and pasting iron nuggets 50 times and praying you didn't mess up a comma, you just put "50" next to it.

Hey!

I appreciate the suggestion! While I'd love to add all features submitted on the issue-tracker, I've got to prioritize working on them due to having limited time. In order to see which features users would like to see most, I've created https://serilum.com/mods/requests, which shows a table with all feature request submitted.

I'm aware that this is not the reaction you were looking for, but the reality is that I can't keep up with the demand. I try to do as much as I can.

Users are able to upvote requests by reacting to the first issue comment on this GitHub page with one of the ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐ŸŽ‰ โค๏ธ ๐Ÿš€ ๐Ÿ‘€ emoji's. The request with the most unique reactions, will be shown at the top. You can of course add the reactions yourself too, but don't have to :). The author of the feature is already counted as +1.

I won't only focus on popular features in the upcoming years, but it does help with prioritizing. I'll probably work on a combination of popular and interesting/needed/fun submissions.

I'll close this issue with "not planned" as a way to separate an open feature request from an actual completed issue. This does not actually mean it's not planned! Incompatibilities and bug reports will still remain open.

When the feature is implemented, I'll again post a comment and close it as "completed".

Thank you for taking the time to submit the suggestion! โค๏ธ
