Mining of secondary resources

First of all sorry if this has been suggested elsewhere but with the tons of mining related issues I wasn't able to dig up anything related.
Describe your suggestion
When going mining/caving/exploring as a normal player, one usually does not leave resources out in the open. Also when mining for X you often don't mind collecting Y along the way too.
While #mine can mine multiple blocks, it will also go search for it.
My suggestions therefore would be to have the pathfinding only go for a certain list of block types, and when along the path there are some of another list within X distance (or visible, per setting) those are mined too
Settings
- primary mineable blocks: those are actively searched for and walked towards
- secondary blocks: those are only mined when within X distance
- secondary distacne: the distance to look for secondary blocks along the path
- only visible: only mine other visible blocks ( to not be suspicious)
Context
Easier mining of lots of resources while concentrating on the most needed ones
Harder to detect that things are automated since real players often would do the same.
Final checklist
- I know how to properly use check boxes
- I have not used any OwO's or UwU's in this issue.
While #mine can mine multiple blocks, it will also go search for it.
how?
Or is it a suggestion?
Actually, the line you picked is the status quo. You can already use e.g. #mine minecraft:diamond_ore minecraft:iron_ore
.
