1.14.4 Baritone with Fabric [Solved]
Frazzer951 opened this issue ยท 37 comments
What do you need help with?
Is there any way with the current 1.14.4 release of baritone to be used with fabric mod loader so I can use fabric mods with it, like litmatica and other simple mods.
I'd love Baritone for Fabric. I am not going to use Forge 1.13+ anymore because it's not compatible with custom launchers like MultiMC, so I use Fabric instead.
Why is this topic immediately shut down whenever we ask about it? I would just like to know why the devs hate Fabric so much.

I know right?! I also wonder why devs also hate on MultiMC. I absolutely love MultiMC and Fabric! What's wrong with it? I really wanna know but all devs say is "cringe launcher" for example.
I can't tell if thats sarcasm or not.
Who are you talking to? And why is whatever you're talking about sarcasm to you?
No they don't. You where given the simple answer of "no there is no current way", kindly take that as final.
dude lajerv does this for a payment of skittles and gumwrappers, he can save this function for the paid-for Secret Primo Version if he wants.
Okay. It turns out WWE for 1.14 Fabric comes with Baritone built-in, for Fabric. So install WWE and you'll also have Baritone on Fabric.
Agreed, but what about Fabric? There is a demand for it.

- You are unable to use the Official Mojang Launcher profile format or even convert from them.
- Saves files in retarded locations on Mac and Linux.
The only thing it has over the Official Mojang Launcher is the mod manager. Mojang might even have copyright for majority of MultiMC code because they hired the Dev of MultiMC to work on the Official Mojang Launcher and I bet he made the same deal as the Bukkit Devs.

this is a big one, to make an installer for vanilla we just have to put some files in places, but for multimc the files need to go Wherever You Happen To Have Put MultiMC.app on mac and it's awful

I personally don't like installers that much anyway. I'm fine with doing things myself. Forced installers actually slow me down. The Impact installer is still somewhat fine though as it allows me to show the JSON so that I can quickly work it into MultiMC.

Why is MultiMC a cringe launcher?
Here are the files for faritone (that @JoelEllis mentioned) just drop them in mods folder and start fabric. Have fun! (Use @ as a prefix because that is how arestois devs set it to be )
Faritone(Baritone for fabric).zip
Fabritone is on version 1.4, hasnt been updated yet due to us (the devs of fabritone) are waiting for the 1.4.2 release of baritone
Okk. Found the source at https://gitlab.com/deftware/fabritone using google advanced search.
Just a quick update - Aristosis, another 1.14 client, has got baritone. This is interesting, because the EMC version that aristosis is based on is really fabric under the hood, so their MC marketplace mods - which baritone is, btw, are compatible with fabric.
It seems that the marketplace mods are just fabric mods in a folder - and baritone is one of them! You can just copy the file out and put it in your fabric mods folder, but I can't find any sourrce for this file anywhere on the internet.
The file is called baritone-1.14.4.jar
and the mod name is faritone
on version v1.01
with description Baitone + Fabric
@0-x-2-2 Wtf? What are you talking about? We will make update of it when you release the 1.4.2 version... Sure we might wont be able to "merge" it but rewrite the code needed and add the components you have written lately isnt THAT hard...
@RealIndrit good to hear! might be a little harder than that because of a HUGE change: https://github.com/cabaletta/baritone/pull/952/files
i don't understand why you rewrote the git history, entirely removing me. this means that you can't simply git merge upstream/master
and have to do it manually. kinda weird...
@leijurv Honestly idk either, but its not part of baritone so I guess its kinda good to keep those two apart? But I think it might be good to keep Fabric and Normal MC mapping separated XD. Btw do we have some kind of ETA for 1.4.2?
@Frazzer951 could you add solved in the issue title?
fabritone is not supported by baritone and it is also outdated with no ability for them to merge from upstream.
