Describe your suggestion

With as much detail as possible, describe what your suggestion would do for Baritone.

A setting to allow the bot to loot nearby chests for water buckets and blocks that are whitelisted to use to scaffold/bridge to. Will calculate how many blocks are needed to get to the end, counting the blocks broken on the way and if it'll be obtainable (It won't count if you break stone without a pickaxe since you won't obtain the blocks). Also needs to calculate how much is needed if fillback is on.

Settings

If applicable, what settings/customizability should be offered to tweak the functionality of your suggestion.

Option for calculating the blocks needed, which blocks to use and if it will pick up water buckets.

Context

Describe how your suggestion would improve Baritone, or the reason behind it being added.

Would add more automation - You won't need to stop the bot to gather more dirt along the way if there are chests nearby.

  1. For the chest looting
  • Searching items in nearby chests without opening them is impossible
  • opening every chest is inefficient
  • only hope are remembered inventories, but they are probably far away
  1. For the block counting
    Counting blocks and stocking up when necessary would be possible but has some problems
  • When baritone realizes it needs more blocks for the current path, it would have to leave the path to restock, making the path invalid
  • When implementing the counting while pathing, this would probably slow down pathing because there would be one node for each position and resource amount
