Describe your suggestion
Mining blocks with metadata so I can gather oak wood and not birch
#mine log:0
Context
Certain blocks like log
include oak logs, birch logs, spruce and so forth. I only want oak logs.
Final checklist
- [OwO] I have not used any OwO's or UwU's in this issue.
1.12 is the version that has log
and log2
, it doesn't have oak_log or any of the other flattened IDs
sorry about that, using baritone on both 1.14.4
and 1.12.2
. and therefore mixed them up.
well, in vanilla 1.12.2
you can spawn spruce_log by doing this: /setblock -312 65 -120 minecraft:log 13
.
in baritone 1.12.2
, #mine log 13
will harvest log
s till you have 13 log
s in your inventory.
so we can't do it the same way as vanilla unless we want to remove that feature.
currently, the command uses a find by string system to get the block from the command. I don't know anything about the Numeric ID, so I can't tell if it is possible but I can tell that this will not be done because the Numeric ID system has gotten removed from Minecraft in recent updates.
my point is that no one will make this change because it will be removed as soon forge releases an official release 1.13+ client.
ok, first of all, I work with multiple version of both Minecraft and Baritone and therefore easily mixes things up. I usually just follow the wiki.
secondly, I never said that it's impossible to let you specify a block value. I'm just saying that it is annoying and a bit harder to fix.
third, I'm telling you that no one is interested enuff to add that feature when it is 1.12.2
specific and 1.12.2
soon will be abandoned.
well, if you saying that you that interested just fork the project and do it yourself! no one is stopping you.
for the issue itself, idk maybe. its a pain in the ass because rn its just a List<Block>
it could become a List<IBlockState>
but thennnnnnnn it also captures other stuff like for example it would think of vertical logs and sideways logs (on both axes) as 3 different things, idk.
Well, now that I got... motivated to download Baritone, I'm probably going to be rewriting the chat control thing too since it looks and feels VERY hacky. It's going to stay compatible with everything that uses it. But that's off topic. I will be starting to do PRs.

yes please! XD
guys chill out lol

1.12.2 soon will be abandoned
specifically where the hell did you get this lmao, baritone is primarily 1.12.2. the 1.13.2 and 1.14.4 are a MINORITY of the downloads. baritone will stay 1.12.2 first and moremost at least for as long as 2b2t is 1.12.2.
Well my IDE is convinced there's an EditorConfig that specifies tabs, but I can't find it D:
IDEA Ultimate 2019.2
indentation is perfectly consistent, i use the intellij autoformatter on every save =P
by looking at the timings there is usually about an 11-month gap between Forge and Minecraft releases.
1.13 was released on July 18, 2018. they say this one will be slower but it looks like its close.
when Forge updates, everything updates.

@leijurv do you have a Discord I can contact so I can talk to you about stuff while I redo the chat control?
@stijnsimons I don't have to. I very rarely join Discord servers anymore, I mostly only use Discord for direct messaging. I am in a few like LP and Forge, but the rest I never really care about, and just ignore.
And here i was, thinking that i had to put "mine log_oak" or something, when all i had to put was log...
This is added in #952.
@0-x-2-2 which is not merged yet so the issue should stay open until it is
