I'm not sure if this is an issue with Basic End/Nether Ores or Almost Unified but if you craft 9 Tech Reborn ore nuggets into a block, and then craft the block back into nuggets you get 9 Basic End Ore nuggets which can't be used in Tech Reborn / Industrial Revolution machines.
