Besmirchment appears to "desync" the server and client's Magical Energy.

I can't provide log files, as I don't run the server- will update as soon as I can get them.
Besmirchment was isolated to be the main reason why me and one other person's ME bars were not filling up. Doing some research, I found a thread that pointed out some reasons why from Bewitchment's dev. I assume you already are aware of it, but I thought it'd be a good idea to formalize the idea.

Reportedly, you could replicate it by installing bewitchment, besmirchment, and something like haema alongside them. I suspect that only bewitchment and besmirchment are necessary- but I could be wrong!

I should also note this happens with:

  • Artifacts/curios/things
  • Better Nether/Better End
  • Haema
  • Phosphor
  • Lithium
  • Miskatonic Mysteries
    Or any combination of them.

Yes, only on ded server.

If you use besmirchment, bewitchment, preferably phosphor/lithium, and better nether/better end, it can be replicated.
Edit: I managed to replicate it specifically with better nether and better end, the others didn't do it, but these did.

It did this for me with the following mods:

  • BSM, BW
  • Phosphor
  • Lithium
  • Haema
  • Curios (maybe artifacts)
  • Miskatonic
    And finally,
  • Better Nether
  • Better End

Many of these mods have uis, that, iirc, conflict with BSM, and that is the cause.
