@alexbobp had an idea for something that could be added to better boilers:

[21:13:19] <+capitalthree> steam piston. it's like a piston, but if it pushes entities, it gives them a velocity based on the steam pressure used to activate it
[21:13:34] <+capitalthree> primary use I had in mind is setting up vertical launchers to use gliders
[21:13:42] <+capitalthree> actually for elytra a horizontal launcher is good too

It's kiiind of out of scope for the mod but it's a neat joke feature and a bit of a programming challenge I'd like to try out at some point. It definitely sounds like something pneumaticcraft repressurized would do.
