I read project readme, checked client side and server side configurations, and no such feature exists - YES

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I run a server with Better Combat, and the entire playerbase is basically split on the mod - half of us like it and think it's an interesting addition, while the other half are sick of how they accidentally kill farm animals every time they try to break a fencepost.

Describe the solution you'd like
Could there just be a hotkey to toggle Weapon Swinging, so that some players can use regular Minecraft attack functionality, and others don't have to?

Describe alternatives you've considered
Maybe a way to better prioritize mining blocks vs swinging? I know there's the "mine with weapons" toggle but it never seems to do anything.

Better Combat FAQ:

Can you add a Battle Mode toggle?
Toggling on/off the new attack system would be really bad, since players would be able to choose between instant long range hit with swords and delayed short range attacks, granting an easy way to cheat/cheese any fighting scenario.
Battle mode like toggle will not be added.

Recommended actions:

  • consider weapons as weapons, only hold them in combat
  • use weapons with different attack patterns (such as spears)
  • adjust better combat server config so farm animals are considered as NEUTRAL, so attack swings don't impact them

Axes are considered weapons, but they still are used for mining wooden fences.
Maybe you could get inflicted with crazy strong weakness (maybe slowness too?) for a few seconds every time you switch, forcing people to not swap mid-combat?

Also, I feel like requesting people just add every single farm animal, mount, etc., to the config is a little bit obnoxious, considering that amount of mobs that could be pretty extensive...
