I've tried both configured and catalogue when trying to add to the blacklist but no format I've tried seems to work

I just want to know what the correct way to add to the blacklist without the hassle of getting the source code and adding to the blacklist and making a whole new .jar file with that addition or if the only way to add to the blacklist is to do the steps I mentioned.
