[bug][compat] Mod messes with other mods' rendering in unexpected ways

Covens Reborn dev here, there seem to be a problem with the connected grass module and blocks that are not full cubes.
This is what a user of mine is getting, but the issue only shows up when the connected grass module in BetterFoliage is enabled.
Removing optifine didn't fix the issue.
