Weird chunk loading in Minecraft 1.20.1

I’m playing on Forge (47.4.3) with OptiFine (1.20.1_HD_U_I6), so Minecraft version 1.20.1. I’m using a fairly large number of optimization mods, and I’m experiencing this chunk loading issue—I’ve attached two screenshots.

First screenshot: Without the mod Better FPS - Render Distance [Forge], chunks load correctly—everything within the 3-chunk radius (render distance set to 3 in graphics settings) is properly visible.

Second screenshot: With the mod enabled, there’s a missing chunk section on the right side of the screen. The tree in the top-right is also incompletely rendered, and the left side has similar issues—even though the render distance remains unchanged (still set to 3 chunks).

I wouldn’t really call this a bug, maybe more like unprofessionalism. I assume (though I’m not sure) that tweaking the config might fix the rendering, but would that actually improve performance or just revert it to how it works without the mod? Anyway, I’m posting this here so others who encounter this issue (this type of chunk rendering) know it’s caused by this mod.
