1.7.10 MobHunt Quest keeps going back to default zombie.

Sorry I posted this on the wrong github
Hi I am created a modpack with a bunch of mobs and using BQ for the questline. I started making a questline for chocolate quest defeating the bosses. But when I go out of the window save. Then come back in the entities are all changed to Zombie. Not too sure why, but its getting quite annoying. Would be hard for you to replicate without my modpack though. Just thought I'd ask if there was anything you could do.
I have an update, not sure whats going on but even my vanilla mobhunt quests are going wrong. I changed the mob hunt from creeper to cave spider, and from creeper to blaze and they both went back to creeper. Not too sure what is going on. It's like it won't allow me to do anymore MobHunting. Is there something I am doing wrong?
The following results are based on what sticks after hitting Done
on the Select Entity
dialog (in Edit Task Hunt
.
I was not able to select any entities added by mods (tho, I didn't test them all).
Minecraft: 1.12.2
Better Questing: 2.5.236
Standard Expansion: 2.4.134
And a bunch of other mods. I can provide a complete list on request.

Setting them manually makes it look like the quest would work then (mob displayed correctly) but killing them doesn't update the counter.
You have to disable edit mode
Same in 1.12
It happens mostly on mobs added by mods, but some vanilla too (e.g. polar bear)

So far i found no way of creating working quests for these mobs
