It should be returned at least as a placeholder, because I'm (I'm sure that also many users are) used to the established position of the buttons. It is extremely inconvenient to look for settings where they have never been located.

Each button has changed its position because of this.

The full-screen resolution slider is several times more useless than the "unused" setting that you removed from the UI.

Just readd the button you removed but add a warning that says "This setting currently doesn't do anything" or something when you hover over it.

Not a bad idea, haven't gotten around to it yet unfortunately
