When the wet end sponge is broken it leaves water in its place and drops 2 wet end sponges. These can each be placed back down to create another water source when broken and drop 2 wet sponges each. Essentially they duplicate when they break and they should drop a dry variant instead so that you cant just create infinite water from one sponge.
