if not can i still do it for myself :)
Good luck to achieve a fork of a fat project like it. I must say use Sinytra Connector or things like that than wasting your time on weirder APIs like MinecraftForge...
If you still want it, you must according to Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license applied on assets:
