Can't seem to climb ladders when loading Better End or Better Nether[Bug]

What happened?
After I defeated the ender dragon, I wanted to build a bridge to the end gateway. My idea was to build a 90 degree right angle (like this Γ) but after I placed the ladder I found that the ladder could not be used.
（I am using the 1.21 beta version of better end）

A half-baked temporary solution would be to use a datapack to add the climbable property back. Example Download
Edit: Note that this example datapack will break other things that are climbable from other mods, probably
Edit 2: There's a mod called "Load My F***ing Tags" that will also fix this issue and is a better solution Load My F***ing Tags
Couldn't load tag minecraft:climbable as it is missing following references: betterend:ivis_vine (from betterend)
If an invalid block or tag is in the climbable.json file, all climbables will break. I guess this block is never properly registered since there are other console errors relating to the ivis vine.
