[Bug] hydralux sappling not triggering an observer (OR BUD!) when growing

What happened?

trying to quickly farm hydralux petals i tried to semi auto farm them with an observer and having a piston break the plant once grown but the flower does not seem to trigger an observer or any other kind of block update detector this seems to be like a bug
