When I try to run better portals mod without the furniture mod it works fine, but when I but the furniture mod on it immediately crashes the game.

I tried it with BP 0.2, now the game will load up fine, but it wont let me enter any of the portals. I did not get any crash reports either.

I'll need more info than that. Any other mods? How about with those mods removed? If that works which mods conflict? Etc.
You might want to give this a read.

Also, if you're in MP, try BP 0.2.2. It fixes an issue which matches your description.
