no its a pure white screen, i can see or do anything but i can hear the world around me, so it may be optifine but i have not tested it without it yet.

I have the same problem; when I log into a world with Better Portals installed, my screen is entirely white except for my hotbar and minimap.

I'm using Biomes O Plenty, Oh the Biomes You'll Go, Quark, JEI, The One Probe, and JourneyMap.
Edit: I was also using Optifine, but for some reason I forgot to list it.

And it's working fine with just BP?
If so, remove all unrelated mods. Given you've only got six other mods installed, that should easily be doable and will possibly allow me to reproduce the issue.

It works by itself, and I just went through and added on each of the mods one by one I had before just to see if I could maybe pinpoint which one causes the problem. I don't know what I did different before, but this time it worked properly with all of the other mods.
