Black/White screen

- Remove any unrelated third-party mods
- Make sure you're using neither Shaders nor Fast Render (in case of Shaders, this would still be considered a bug because it should at least render your current world)
- Are you getting the white/black screen even when no portal is loaded?
- Which color do you see when you hide (F1) your HUD?
- Does The End have the same behavior? (i.e. is it the overworld that's broken or the nether that's working)
- Make a backup copy of your optionsof.txt, then delete it to reset all of OF's settings. If that solves the issue, try to figure out the option which causes the issue
I had this same issue. I also resetted the option.txt file and my issue resolved. I have however, kept a copy of my original option.txt file.
While ingame flicking the options did not result in my previous issue to return, I bet that if I insert the old copy again I get the white/black screen. I would have to do those tests though.

Thank you very much for posting your config files.
Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the issue with your old config. I suspect that different vanilla graphic options or hardware/driver differences are the reason. Could you please also post your options.txt, so I can have the same vanilla graphic options as well?
Could you please check if using your old config brings back the issue for you (just to be sure that there isn't something even more complicated going on).
All of the following only applies if you can still reproduce it.
Based on the differences between your old and new config, these options sound like they might have an influence, so make sure to flick at least those (and maybe restart the game as some might only apply after a restart):
- Details -> Fog (OFF)
- Details -> Translucent Blocks (Fancy)
- Quality -> Better Grass (Fancy)
- Quality -> Connected Textures (Fast)
- Performance -> Render Regions (OFF)
- Dynamic Lights (Fancy)
(The value in parenthesis should be your old value, i.e. the one which manifests the issue)
If none of them do anything, you can try to manually revert changes in your optionsof.txt until it breaks (or wait for me to try your options.txt).
