Random freezes (maybe different mod)

The game randomly freezes (window "not responding").
Not sure if it is related to this mod or another mod.
It started since I placed the first portal. I am playing on a private modpack server. Breaking portal seems to not fix it.

A thread dump would probably shed some light on this. I'd suggest using VisualVM to get one.

Hmm, that doesn't look frozen.
I didn't mention it because it was obvious to me (I now realize it may not at all be obvious if you don't know what a thread dump is) but: Make sure to take the thread dump while it is frozen.
If you did take it while it was frozen, please take a few more of them (like 10 or so, each with a second of waiting in-between).

I will as soon as that server is back. The machine it was running on crashed so I will need to contact the person who is hosting it

Looks like this may be caused by an issue in AutoRegLib which I reported to them back in July but which never got fixed.
If you don't require it, then removing ARL should solve the issue, otherwise I've re-posted my report (see issue linked above) in the hope that it was just forgotten and will get fixed properly now.
