I am making a 1.12.2 mod pack for me and my friends
I installed this mod (along with about 25 others) and whenever this mod is running Nether portals won't light at all. I remove this mod, the portal lights perfectly. I put the mod back with the lit portal saved, load the game, and the portal is gone, but particles remain until you walk through them, then they disappear.
End portals work flawlessly.
I don't see this issue anywhere else, which I thought was very odd. I can give you a full list of active mods if needed.
The only nether related mods I have are NetherEx and the creeping nether mod. Neither of which I would think would alter Nether portals in any way.
I tried removing NetherEx, and it did nothing.
I know the creeping nether mod is compatible with this mod because I saw a video that showcased both of them together.
Resetting the config did nothing
I am also contemplating adding The Aether mod, which I assume works with this because it is an option in the config, but I would like to resolve this issue first.
I tried loading only this mod, and Nether portals still don't light, even when I started a completely blank world...
I have no idea what is going on, and I am concerned that nobody else is having this issue. am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: I added the Aether mod, and I am having the same problem with the aether portals as I am with Nether portals.
