As per #242 the recommendation for BR not reporting a valid peripheral to CC was to update to CC 1.6 and beyond as newer versions of BR require it.

I have updated to CC 1.6.3 and as mentioned in #242 the issue persists. A quick test was executed with CC code:

print(peripheral.isPresent("back"))

The output returned "false". The computer terminal is connected directly to the BR computer port.

Apologies for double posting; I am not entirely up to speed on how issue tracking works and wanted to ensure you saw the update with the latest information.

It may be helpful to point out that it is not currently possible to activate a modem (wired or wireless) on the computer port either; right clicking I believe should cause the outline of the modem to turn red with a chat message indicating its peripheral number but this does not occur.
