The power tap turns green from attaching an me cable, whitout the rf tunnel.

Not a big deal, should not be prior, but should check it out.

This means that AE's cable exposes the RF API. This is an AE issue, not a BR issue.

Please link me to the issue you've filed on the Applied Energistics site. I strongly suspect they're exposing the RF API for some reason, which is what would be triggering that visual update.

I think I see the problem. They are exposing the API, but they're expecting me to check whether they allow a connection. Power taps assume any RF-enabled blocks nearby will permit connections.
