Hi,
Can I get some clarification on the correlation between reactor heat, reactor fuel usage and reactor size (ie, surrounding rods with water - does this actually make anything different)? Also, a lot of players are asking one common question, does the reactor actually explode if the heat hits the maximum amount?
Regards
Higher heat = faster energy output, less fuel efficiency
Reactor size lets you stuff more fuel rods into the reactor, as well as providing space for fluids.
Fluids (water, air and the TE fluids like redstone and ender) help keep fuel rods cool and provides some bonus power, regardless of heat level. Different fluids have different properties, but generally: air is the worst, water is okay, redstone is good and cryotheum and ender are excellent.
Reactors currently do not have any explosion code at all. In the future, there will be a "danger mode" setting that adds explosions. It will default to off.
