Overview

Thermal Calcite could be used as a source of heat with a spherical radius of several blocks.

Why would this feature be useful?

• When using seasonal mods, it would be awesome if the hot springs didn't freeze over.
• Would make the thermal calcite differentiated and useful from just being a beautiful (which it is) decorative block.
• If it had a large enough thermal radius, it would be cool to be able to bury it to keep your landscape from getting snow on it.

It is tagged as a heating block for Tough As Nails actually. The water in the Hot Springs freezing over is a different issue entirely, one that would have to be solved on the side of Serene Seasons for example (Which we will hopefully do in the future). And as far as melting snow goes, that only goes by light level in vanilla, and adding something to allow Thermal Calcite to melt snow would be a bit too invasive for BOP code-wise.
