Overview
- Allow clover be placed on any block
- Allow clover to be placed on any block face
Why would this feature be useful?
Clover is a fantastic addition to natural environments, and has a lot of potential as a creative building asset. Currently it can only be placed on the top surface of grass, mycelium, moss and the like.
-
Allow clover be placed on any block; this could be used to soften the edges of stone paths, or make overgrown areas within ruins.
-
Allow clover to be placed on any block face; this could be used for wall climbing vines, flower box overflows, tree trunk texturing and more.
I would like to contribute my thoughts to this idea.
I can understand the points of usefulness to this feature implementation, but thinking about the implementation of it, Clovers as a block are most similar to Pink Petals or Wildflowers. So for the implementation of placing them on any block as Leaf Litter does, doesn't make sense. There are a good amount of blocks that can be used for detailing the ground, paths, and tops of blocks. Perhaps, instead of getting a Green on Grey, you could go for a Grey on Green with the use of Glow Lichen or Coral Fans, or BoP's very own Webbing. Same thing could go for other colour blends.
As for placing the Clovers on the sides of blocks, this kinda seems like a stretch. There are more things that are green that can be placed on the sides of blocks as well, such as Vines and BoP's Willow Vines. Not to mention, you could also find some use for the Pine and Willow wood sets for green colour detailing with Buttons, Signs, Pressure Plates, Trapdoors, etc.
Personally to me, I feel the implementation of this is better suited for a whole different block itself.
