What happened?

I have a world with the Regions Unexplored mod on 1.18, and in a newer version of the mod on 1.20, a lot of the blocks changed, some are new, and some are removed. How would I update my world safely while being able to replace older blocks and use brand new blocks without losing any of the blocks?
