Certain glass blocks appear opaque

Hi! I did find a related issue back in February-ish: #23

I wasn't sure whether I should necro an old, closed issue, or simply add a new one? Please let me know which is the correct thing. On to the matter at hand:

2019-09-26_09 23 47

From the left we have EnderIO's Quite Clear Glass (Fused Quartz blocks are identical and have same issue), Chisel's "Light" Glass (all chisel glass variants seem to have this issue), ExU2's Thickened Glass, Tinker's Construct's Clear Glass, Twilight Forest Auroralized Glass, and NetherEx Soul Glass.

As you can see, some of them work perfectly fine, and the others render as opaque.

  • Minecraft version: 1.12.2
  • Forge version: forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2838-universal
  • Modpack version (links to current modlist): 1.7.2
  • Mod versions: blockcraftery-1.12.2-1.3.1, EnderIO-1.12.2-5.0.46, Chisel-MC1.12.2-0.2.1.35

Please let me know if I can provide any other information. Thanks for your time! :)

That definitely sounds like a plausible explanation.

If it turns out to be fixable and if you did happen to make connected textures worked with framed blocks, I can assure you that my players and I - and probably a lot of other people - would be absolutely over the moon about it. It would be simply amazing.

That said, I completely understand that it may not be a possibility, and that even if it is, it could be a major undertaking. I am not a coder myself, so I'm unsure what CTM support would take, but it sounds like it'd be a difficult thing to implement. So, if yes: yay! And if not: that's okay, too. In any case, thank you for the spectacular mod :)

just as an offhand guess, it seems to me like it's specific to mods that use the CTM-mod for connected textures.

i'm unsure how fixable it is, but if it is fixable, then that means we may end up adding CTM-support to blockcraftery? meaning connected textures across framed blocks, maybe. maybe.

i haven't actually done any work on this project (rendering isn't my specialty) so i don't want to say anything for sure, but it's a possibility.
