No matter which way you place it, the texture is always the north facing one. I have only test this with the blackstone trapdoors. But I'm guessing if it's there for one of them, it's probably like that for all others as well. Thankfully there aren't many trapdoors in this mod and if it's anything like resource packs, should be easy to fix.
