Draw Plates/Silicon WaferCrafting

When crafting wire with draw plates, or cutting the silicon boule into wafers, the crafting recipes works only once. The recipe is no longer recognized when the reusable item in either scenario has a damage value (though NEI states that it is still a valid recipe). Is this a common issue, or more likely something caused by something else in the FTB Unstable mod pack?
Works for me on BevoTechPack using a diamond saw to craft the wafers
