the mod does not work with ars magica 2 1.7.10

It's probably an enchantment ID conflict because by default both mods use the same ids. You can change the ID in either Bluepower or Ars Magica 2 and that should fix it.

Having seen the posted (and since deleted) crash log, it is indeed an ID conflict. Fortunately, both mods provide configuration files where you can change these IDs to avoid conflicts.

Ars Magica 2 is really unstable in 1.7.10 (Mithion)
