Some people want to be able to place circuits on top of circuits so my suggestion would be a frame of some sorts (wood, stone etc) which could be made with a set of multiparts.

I think that with the integrated circuits this isn't really needed. I mean, i do like the idea... but only for like... 2 gates in a single block at most.

You can about half the size of multilayer contraptions and run multiple bluestone lines/contraptions very close together to also reduce size and allow for more control

I myself wouldn't want everything 10 times smaller.. I'd rather have to reserve a lot of space before I'm able to do advanced circuits

sci4me I think you misunderstood what my intention was with the frame.
The integrated circuit was for the multiple gates in 1 block, the frame is to be able to place a gate/integrated circuit on top of that gate/integrated circuit like it was a full block.

I think it's wise to see how the current circuits end up getting used before expanding on them. You can do what you want already using covers/panels.
