Flickering with mipmap

Not yet verified with only bonsai trees, but with or without optifine, there is hard to view strobing whenever mipmapLevels is larger than 0. Appears as though rendering of growing bonsai tree is bleeding into the world render. Not sure how this could happen, but it's as pleasant as florescent light that's about to fail.
For the time being, I've turned mipmapping off, but if this could somehow be resolved, I would greatly appreciate it. Probably related to issue #4.
