While holding only 1 item, the Ring of Loki will place all blocks except the block that should be placed, and will also reset the selection. This one also does not apply to Immersive Engineering.
Start with the following:

Placing the block will result in the selection being reset and the original block not being placed. From what I can tell, the held block will also disappear for a very short amount of time.

This issue may also be directly related to #2923.
