Apparently you can put Mending on Spellbinding Cloth with an Anvil, and repair it by gaining XP with it in the off-hand slot.

(Considering how Spellbinding Cloth absorbs enchantments, this might or might not make sense lore-wise, though I like it as a feature.)

Now if you put the Mending Spellbinding Cloth and another (Mending or not) Spellbinding Cloth in a crafting table, you can pull out extra Cloths from the crafting output while the original two stays in the crafting grid, only taking durability damage.
