Whenever I open the Lexica Botania that has been updated for new visuals and such, the game immediately crashes. This happens with all version starting from when it wa originally changed.

your forge is heavily outdated! try update forge first

why is forge scanning it's own jar file ?
please make sure you clean up your installation before any ongoing tests, install at least forge 1492, make a new profile, make a new folder(edit profile -> hook on game directory -> new directrory) and drop your mods again into the new folder to make sure everything is clean and try again ... you can migrate your world and configs over to the new folder to check if your issue persists
