Mysterious Miscellany causes the petals unable to be bonemeal/fertilized.

Remove MM and it works like a charm.

Edit:

But then bonemeal/fertilizer the flower itself and you get another flower. So it works out. Guess there's nothing to see here. But good information to pass on to those who were as upset as I.
