when i put all the items into the runic altar to make a head, it reads as not a valid recipe. i tried it with both regular golden apples and enchanted golden apples, but neither recipe works.

can't reproduce, follow the recipe as shown in the book/JEI exactly. You need to make sure the name tag has the username of the skull you want
