Hand of Ender can put itself inside the ender chest

Forge version: 14.23.5.2768
Botania version: r1.10-361

What I expected to happen:
The Hand of Ender is locked to its slot similarly to the flower pouch

What happened instead:
Nothing prevents the player from using the hand of ender to put the hand of ender inside the ender chest.

I'm reminded of the gif where the guy drags "My Computer" into the recycle bin
