Further Information

The install is made via Twitch launcher. The mods installed are precisely Botania (with requirements) and Albedo. Other mods change the texture of cubes in presence of the bug, but don't seem to trigger it.

What I expected to happen:

Some cubes that look like snow probably.

A texture soup.

Seeing as Albedo is in recommended mods, and there's some pretty cool support for it, I thought it might be worth bringing this up.

This issue is stale because it has been open for a while with no activity. Remove stale label or comment or this will be closed soon.
