I'm not certain if this bug is related (especially as it has so little information) but in our multiplayer game particles will not disappear. This happened on upgrading from build 127 to 129. For now we have reverted back to 127 (we have not tested 128 yet)

Our game is a shared 'open to lan' game, I'm not sure if that affects anything differently than hosting via minecraft_server.jar

Hoping this is enough information to help. If not I can investigate further.
