Is it intended, or is it a bug from interaction between RoG's beacon nullifier and how BM does the Whirlwind? Book only says that beacon effects are nullified, not any others.

It nullifies effects with less than 8 seconds, there's no way to detect where an effect comes from so that's the way I could do it. It's not intended, but it's a side effect.
